Fitness Is Art

Fitness Is Art

Why Your Fitness Is Like Creating Art

Fitness is art.

Not in the traditional sense of art.

And not in the idea that we shape our bodies to look like an art work when we're naked.

No fitness is art, because art takes practice.

Art takes consistency.

Art takes hard work.

Art requires commitment without knowing if it will work.

Art requires some sacrifice.

Art isn't easy.

Art requires emotional labour.

Art moves people.

Look at any of the great artworks, and we see the finished product from the artist.

We think it must be a stroke of genius on their part.

But what we don't see is the hours and hours of testing, trying, failing and experimenting before hand.

We see the number 1 hit and hope that will be us.

But in fact, most come 1 hits only comes after a long time of practice.

You see, we think it will be like American Idol.

But actually, most successful artists work for years before having that "hit".

And so, fitness is art.

It takes, sometimes, years of work.

Yes, people have amazing results after 12 weeks, but how many people actually keep those results.

So fitness is art.

Because fitness takes consistency.

Fitness takes hard work.

Fitness requires commitment without knowing if it will work.

Fitness requires some sacrifice.

Fitness isn't easy.

Fitness requires emotional labour.

Fitness moves people.

Until next time,

Marco
