Where Do You Put the Pain?

Dealing With the Pain in Training and Life

I'm not a big believer in the whole "no pain, no gain" mentality can runs through training.

The idea that we need to almost destroy ourselves to get results can be damaging.

But the truth is, somewhere along the journey, your training will hurt.

I never like to leave clients sore.

It's not a great feeling as you do your day to day thing.

But even if you're not sore a few days later, there's a good chance you'll feel some pain and stress during the training itself.

So the question is: where do you put the pain?

And this is as simple as you need to think about your training.

It's going to hurt (even though that's not the aim), and you need to deal with it.

It might not be in this session, or the next, but somewhere along the way in your journey you'll do a session that pushes you and hurts.

Those that can put away the pain, or simply deal with it the best, are the ones who get the best results.

Interestingly, that sounds a lot like life as well.

Until next time,

Marco
