A Plan for Success

A Plan for Success

A Little Planning Can Go a Long Way

So often when it comes to getting fit and healthy, people just start without any planning.

And for some of these people it works.

Action is the thing that will get you results after all.

But it can also lead to wasted action, as people go around in circles doing what feels right but adds nothing to helping them achieve their goals.

The idea of planning your health can also sound a little tedious.

It's not that hard surely?

And it's not, but equally if it was such an easy task, each of us would be healthy and lean already.

So yes, planning your health may seem tedious.

But planning can also remove stress later on.

And it can give us something to compare to and track against.

Plans can be simple, like understanding which days you'll train and at what time.

Or they can include a diet plan, sleep schedule and more.

When starting out, I always recommend simpler.

In fact, I often tell people to only change one thing.

Month 1: train twice a week

Month 2: eat to only 80% full

Month 3: go to sleep 30 minutes earlier

Month 4: train 3 times a week...

And so on.

Of course, more details could be added to each of those, so that your plan might take 10 minutes to create now.

But even still, that's not too long for a 4 month or even longer plan for your health.

You'll go off plan, no doubt.

You won't always follow it as well as you could.

But because the plan is there, you know exactly how to get back on track.

And all it took was 15 minutes to get that clarity.

Until next time,

Marco
