As Simple as Possible
As Simple as Possible
Your Training is Too Complicated
Why add complication to something?
Is it to appear smarter?
Is it because complication is easier than simplicity?
Is it laziness or overthinking?
This is a question that as a coach, I need to ask myself on a regular basis.
Will it help my clients to do more complicated training?
Will that help them get better results?
My thought, is that the simplest answer is the best answer.
And so, that's what I aim to give clients.
Simple training, that delivers results.
For all the circuits and endless sweat, I rarely see people get much in the way of results from this complicated training, which by the way, is the standard type of training now.
And the results that are achieved, could be achieved from going for a regular walk.
Maybe not as fun, but a lot simpler and a lot less stressful at least.
In fact, most training misses the simplest, most foundation principle - progressive overload.
Moving more weight over time.
Why move weights otherwise?
To lose fat?
Sure, but if you don't keep moving heavier weights, your body will just get used to it and you won't lose fat.
To get fitter?
Sure, but if you don't keep moving heavier weights, your body will just get used to it and you won't get fitter.
To add muscle?
Sure, but if you don't keep moving heavier weights, your body will just get used to it and you won't add muscle.
With clients here at PEAK, we focus on specific goals - each clients follows their own program.
And we achieve it by following the simplest, most foundation principle of training.
Why make it more complicated than that?
Until next time,
Marco
