At the Start, It's Not Special

Expect Difficulties at the Start


When you start a new project, it feels special, but in actual fact, it's not.

Not a lot happens.

There aren't huge changes.

Progress is slow.

And the end is so far away.

This is the same with your fitness.

Sure, many people make changes quickly at the start.

Going from nothing to something often does that.

But it's also so far away from the end goal, that it's not that special at all.

What happens though if we stick to it, is that it does become special.

We learn what works, we make small progress over and over, and then finally, the end is something to be proud of.

The start though is filled with anxiety and feelings of being unsure.

Will it work?

Is this right?

Am I wasting my time?

Be prepared to ask yourself those questions.

But equally, be prepared to not answer them.

It might not be special at the start, but rarely is anything.

If you're prepared to go through the difficult start however, a beautiful ending awaits.
