Health Isn't Exclusive

Status Means Nothing When It Comes to Your Health

Often in the corporate environment, we think about success in terms of quarters or financial years.

We talk about "beating the competition", and "outdoing our competitors" as if business is a game that can be won like sports.

But we do the same with our health.

"I could never do that" or "I'm not very good at sports" as if there's a health competition going on.

Who is the healthiest person in the world?

What a pointless and never ending competition that would be.

You see, our health isn't a competition.

It's not as if for someone to win, someone else has to lose.

In our health, as long as you have the resources* you can be a winner.

You can be classed as healthy.

And you can have the chance to keep playing the game of getting healthy.

While there are plenty of things in life which are exclusive, often based on our status or who we know, health is not one of those things.

There's no club we need to join.

No secret society.

No card which give us access to things only other rich and famous people get.

No, everyone can be healthy.

Maybe the fact that it's available to everyone, is the reason you don't value it.

*if you're reading this, there's a good chance you have the resources, or at least a level of comfort in life, where you actually can focus on your health. Of course, not everyone has that luxury.

Until next time,

Marco
