Straight Lines

Health and Fitness is Always a Challenge

Being fit and healthy is awesome, obviously.

It makes all aspects of your life better and easier.

But actually being fit and healthy isn't easy.

In fact, it's really hard and takes a lot of commitment.

For some people, that commitment is too much.

But we often go wrong because we think it's a finite problem.

Once you're healthy, that's it, you're healthy for the rest of your life right?

And as a result, we look for shortcuts and quick solutions that's just make the process so much harder.

But just like being healthy, or unhealthy, affects the rest of our life, so to does the rest of our life affect our health.

And so the idea that the journey to health is a straight line, is very wrong.

There are plenty of ups and downs along the way, even when you're classed as healthy by society or modern medicine.

For this reason, it's important to give ourselves a break.

Yes we want to be disciplined with training/exercise and our diet, but we're not robots.

Things happen along the way.

Sometimes we get it wrong.

Sometimes habits get broken.

And that is just part of the challenge of it all.

So let go of the idea that once you're healthy, that's it.

Let go of the idea that 12 week challenges or supplements will solve your problem.

And start to understand the problem takes time to solve, and you won't always get it right.

But it a problem worth trying to solve.

Until next time,

Marco
