One thing you'll see plenty of fitness competitor's do before their competitions is steady state cardio.
Steady state cardio includes things like walking, running, swimming, riding etc. Basically it's a cardio exercise where you maintain a relatively low, constant intensity.
And the result is reduced fat - it's a great way to get leaner.
Now of course, these fitness competitors are eating controlled diets, and also doing weight training, but there is a lesson to learn here.
Something as simple a walking on a regular basis can help you control your weight.
Add to this an improved diet, and you'll become even better at controlling your weight.
Add some extra exercise and better again.
Sure, it won't get you results as quickly as fitness competitors want or need, but maintain that for a long enough time frame, and you'll get some great results.
It's easy to get sold on everything the fitness industry sells us, from programs to supplements - I'm part of this too.
But as is usually the case, the simplest option is just as effective.
