The Change We Seek to Make Starts Small
The Change We Seek to Make Starts Small
Start With the Simplest and Smallest Step
Imagine how amazing it will feel to achieve your goals after all the hard work and effort.
Maybe it's adding a certain amount of muscle, or losing some amount of fat.
Or maybe it's completing a marathon or other sporting event.
Whatever the goal, once you've completed it, the sense of achievement may very well overwhelm you.
But before you get there, you have to start here.
And start small.
Goals drive us, no doubt.
But so often it all starts with the smallest of efforts.
Signing up to the gym finally for example.
In itself, not a massive achievement, especially for someone who has joined multiple gyms in their time.
But for you it could be the first time you've signed up to the gym.
It seems like a nothing step on the way to a goal, but in fact it's the most important, despite how small it is.
Not drinking for a week.
Throwing away the cigarettes.
Buying a pair of running shoes.
Agreeing to start lifting weights with a friend.
Enquiring online for a coach.
These all seem like such small simple steps.
But the change you seek to make starts small.
And there's actually no reason to think beyond that.
Even if the goal seems large and overwhelming, start small.
Because we can't underestimate the importance of a start, no matter how small.
Until next time,
Marco
