This Is Also About Connection
We're All Lonely, But I'm Here to Help
Six packs abs.
Bulging muscles.
High intensity training.
Setting new PB's.
Box jumps.
Burpees.
All of these things are associated with modern training.
And all of them might be a focus for you when you start.
But there's also something extra I would suggest many people want as well - connection.
So while yes, training is very much about the physical.
The human, emotional side of training also means something.
Maybe this is why doing an online program from a coach is okay.
Plenty of people get results from it.
But those weekly check-ins and pre-made videos might not be the connection you need.
And this is what I offer clients as well.
A connection.
Because we're all lonely, all looking for someone to talk to in an honest meaningful way without judgement.
So this is what I provide.
Yes of course you get the 3 sets of 5 Squats in your program (or whatever exercise you need at that time).
Yes you get the accountability and guidance and mentoring.
But you also get a connection.
Just talking with someone, getting to know them.
Opening up and accepting someone new into your life.
This isn't to say you should stop focusing on the physical - it's how we measure progress after all.
But just realise the connection with the human being helping you is just as important.
In fact, in today's society, it might just be the most important.
