We're In the Endgame Now...

During Avengers: Infinity War, Doctor Strange says to Iron Man, aka Tony Stark that "we're in the Endgame now".

Moments earlier he had looked into the future, and from 14,000,605 possible variations of their fight with Thanos the Mad Titan, they won only one.

The line is an indication that something has started that will finish everything for good.

It's an interesting premise I see in many things we do in life, but especially fitness.

We're all looking for the endgame.

That goal, that once complete, will mean our health, body composition and life as a whole will be exactly where we've always dreamed it could be.

If only it was that easy.

Our health, our fitness, our body composition, they're all ever changing.

One day you look great, the next day, for some reason, not as good.

One day you're feeling amazing, the next day tired and sore.

We set goals to drive us forward. To push us towards what we believe to be a better life.

But sometimes we fail to realise that achieving the goal isn't the endgame.

It's simply a stepping stone onto another goal.

Have you ever reached a goal with your health and fitness, only to lose it again because you relaxed and thought it would be easy from now on?

Have you seen it happen to others?

I get to see many people come through the gym, and it's not surprising when you see people get amazing results, then disappear from the gym for a while, and return looking unhealthy.

Of course things happen, people get busy, life can sometimes get thrown into chaos.

But, unfortunately, there is no endgame with fitness.

As slow as the process is to achieve results sometimes, the process to lose them can be even quicker.

I tell people to be Strong for Life. Life.

It's a process that should continue for the rest of your life.

But that is skipped over because the focus is on getting lean now.

Well of course it is...you do have to post on Instagram after all.

The truth is that unless you have an accident or develop cancer, there is a very good chance that you're going to live for a long time.

So your thought process has to be do do this for a long time.

It's fine to have goals along the way because that will keep you motivated.

But it's not achieve goal and then relax.

It's achieve goal, set another. Achieve goal, set another.

Train with the thought that you'll be doing this to make your life better for the rest of your life.

Train to be Strong for Life.
