Why Do We Fail to Achieve Our Goals?

Why is it that so many people fail at New Year's resolutions?

Why do people fail at their goals generally?

We set goals to drive us, to point us in a direction that we believe will make our character or our day to day lives better.

But goals are challenging, and unless we truly work towards them, we are unlikely to accomplish them.

What were your goals for this year?

Are you still moving towards them, or has the daily routine already thrown you off?

If you've gone off track, what is your plan to get back on?

There are a few reasons why people struggle to achieve their goals.

Firstly, is the goal what you really want?

We follow a process called Vision Casting here at PEAK. Sounds fancy, but it's really just about setting long term goals, and creating the identities to achieve those goals.

I've found setting long term goals gets people thinking "what do I really want?". Most people don't come up with fluffy goals or things that sound good at face value, but doesn't meet their personal values, when they are focused on something long term.

Second, if this is what you want, then what's the plan to get it?

This is where many people come unstuck.

"Getting fit", is a pretty common goal, and makes sense for everyone.

Yet, most people just go into it with no plan.

Don't get me wrong, if you've been doing little to nothing for a long time and your plan is to move more, you'll get results. In fact, the idea of something being better than nothing is a mindset I tell most of my clients.

But after a while, is simply moving, with no intent and no plan going to be motivating enough for you?

So, how about I give you a plan.

A 6 month plan in fact.

Think of it as a step by step on how to get healthier. Simple, focused on one habit at a time, and with your long term health in mind.

Each month I'm going to send out an ebook focused on an area of health I believe most people need to improve in, without the need to try and change everything at once.

But first, the focus is on the foundation of it all; your training.

If you want a plan that is going to get you strong, burn fat and get you fit, below is my first ebook in the series: a 12 Week Training plan to take the guess work out of your training.

Complete with links to videos on each exercise, the program is a great starting point for anyone starting out their training journey, or trying to get back into it.

And as a bonus, in 12 weeks time, you'll get another 12 week training plan for free as well.

Simply enter your email below to get the free training program and start to systematically achieve your goals.
