Developing Resilience

Developing Resilience

For years we've talked about training in regards to our physical body.

And yet, as soon as gyms were closed, people became frustrated. Was it because we couldn't look as good for people who were not going to see? Or was it because our mental health was the thing our training really helped?

And with this comes a lesson, for what I believe training really allows us to develop.

Yes, the body is changed, improved hopefully, in a way we're proud of. But our mind is shifted in a way that not many things can provide.

We can develop resilience through our training. We can develop a mental strength that will keep us going when things are tough. And right now, things are tough. Instead of waiting for the time when we'll be tested, we test ourselves by choice, on a regular basis, and we become tough in a way that allows us to deal with tough situations, knowing we can rely on ourselves.

Even then, gyms aren't required.

This is just a different mindset each of us can develop.

And as an extra benefit, we can develop a strong and lean body.

Until next time,

Marco
