Asking for Directions
Asking for Directions
It's Okay to Ask for Help With Your Health
Back before we all had GPS's on our phones, it was common for someone to pull over next to you and ask for directions.
You may have done it yourself.
If your ego wasn't in the way, you'd have no issues doing this.
Why would anyone have an issue doing this?
Usually because we're too proud to ask for help.
Or maybe because we'd prefer to be right.
But if you need directions, then you obviously want to get somewhere.
There's no need to pull over and ask someone for directions to no destination.
So what's better - to be right or to get to your destination?
To be proud, or to get the result you set out for at the start of your journey?
It especially makes sense to ask for directions to a place you've never been, so why have an issue with asking for help?
The same is true for our health.
I'm not saying you can't reach your destination by yourself.
But there's also nothing wrong with asking someone for help to reach a destination you've never been to.
It's not like we're expecting you to know how to get there already, unless you've studied and put hours of investigation in beforehand.
The point of asking for help is to get the result, and get there quicker than you might.
So ask yourself what's more important - the result or being right.
Both are valid answers.
Both will hopefully get you to where you want to go.
Are you willing to risk getting it wrong and taking even longer to get there?
Until next time,
Marco
