Love/Hate
Love/Hate
Training Could Be the Best Thing You Do, But It's Not Easy or Pleasant
Training for a lot of people, is a love/hate relationship.
And it makes sense why.
Go into a gym, usually with lots of other people.
Sweat too much.
Inflict pain on yourself.
Be uncomfortable.
Struggle.
And probably be self conscious.
So why do it?
Well, once you've finished your training, there is a sense of accomplishment for pushing through something difficult that you hate.
There are the endorphins and confidence that make you feel amazing once you're done.
There is the improvement in mood and energy levels.
And there is the knowledge you just added a check mark in the column for making you fit, healthy and, in your eyes at least, a little sexier.
And this is the battle each of us needs to face on a grand scale, and on the day to day when energy and motivation feels low.
This doesn't mean some days you won't hate it more, or that eventually you won't love it all.
It's just an honest portrayal of training.
The aim is that you stick to it long enough that you have more days and times that you love.
But be aware, at the start, it might very well suck.
The key is to think long term, and be willing to do something you hate, so that you reach a feeling you love.
Until next time,
Marco
