Many training programs are marketed as 6 to 12 week training programs that will help you lose weight and feel amazing.
And many of those programs will work.
But my thought has always been, if it takes you 12 weeks to lose that weight, surely it can take 12 weeks to put it on again.
So in fact these programs are only the start.
And the longer you go, the harder it gets to put that weight back on, because now you have new healthy habits which are hard to break.
Now you're used to saying no to the unhealthy food. Now you go to the gym even though it's cold and you're tired from work. And now you understand that 12 weeks is actually a very short time to make any difference in your life when it comes to your health.
Yes we want to get the results quickly, but deep down we know it's just the start.
And if we can think that way from the start, we can make decisions which will actually speed up the process of achieving long term results.
