Pandering to the Average
Pandering to the Average
Training for Everyone Isn't for You
"This is for everyone" is not something you'll hear me say in regards to training here at PEAK.
Because I'm making sure it's not for everyone.
As a simple example, I don't seek to train clients under the age of 35.
That doesn't mean I don't have clients under that age.
It's just that I've found many people under 35 don't appreciate the training here.
The idea that everyone can do the training systems that businesses provide, is far from correct.
In fact, when you're one of 20 in that big group class again, you're part of the everyone.
Which is a great feeling of course.
The importance of community cannot be understated.
But when a business tries to make training for everyone, it's making it for no one.
Really, all they're doing is pandering to the average.
Which is a shame, because it means you have to be lucky to get results above average.
This of course doesn't mean that training doesn't come with any benefits at all.
As mentioned community is important.
As is having fun, and feeling like you worked hard.
But if results and doing those things are important to you, then doing what everyone else does, probably won't get you the results you want.
Another reason why the training at PEAK isn't for everyone, is because it's done for each individual.
Each client gets their own program.
And so the average is lifted, because you lift it.
The training is yours to own.
And the results are based on your goals and needs.
Of course, there's nothing wrong with the average.
But never think that you need to be a part of it.
There are other options.
Until next time,
Marco
