Seeking Resilience

Seeking Resilience

Training Provides More Than Just Weight Loss

The recent past has been an interesting time to say the least.

It feels like there is negativity all around.

And in the face of all that, how do we stay resilient?

I've often thought that teaching kids how to be resilient is one of the best things we can do.

And it can be taught, and learned, just like anything.

Seeking resilience though, goes hand in hand with seeking challenge.

Testing ourselves on a regular basis.

Seeing what we're made of, and becoming tougher as a result.

Of course, training is about losing weight and getting stronger.

But beyond that, I've always believed it's a way to get mentally tougher.

It's a way to seek that resilience.

Training, after all, is a choice.

No one is forcing you to be there.

You choose to go there.

You choose to endure.

And you always have a choice - quit or keep going.

The more you keep going, the more you find that resilience.

You choose to find it it.

And you do, because you're doing something challenging.

And you become better for it.

And when you do find it, you can apply it to all other areas of your life.

And along the way you'll likely lose weight and get stronger.

Until next time,

Marco
