Short Term Solutions Rarely Work for Your Long Term Health
It's difficult to not jump on the bandwagon and offer short term solutions to long term problems.
Short term solutions are what the market wants and demands after all.
Why take longer to solve a problem than necessary?
The health and fitness industry definitely offers short term solutions in spades.
But often they do work.
For some people.
Until they don't.
I guess if they worked, there would be no one in the gym.
And yet people get results, stop and then need to come back again.
Maybe, that long term problem actually is a long term problem.
I often battle with offering a short term solution, which I know won't work, and getting the instant gratification of more clients sold on this idea of results now.
Or be honest with people and tell them it will take longer than they think, potentially losing people early.
But if I'm making money, then who cares right?
Well, I do care, and no I can't join the others in this short term pleasing.
Our lives are getting faster, and we have access to things faster then ever before.
But I can tell you now, long term results with your health and fitness, take a long time to achieve.
Longer than you think.
Longer than you want.
And definitely longer than that 6 week challenge.
But here's the thing: you will actually get some results in that 6 week challenge.
Because when you go from doing little to nothing, to doing something, then of course you get a results.
And these results will make you want to stay on, even if they will slow down.
Because they will slow down.
Unfortunately, there's not much of a plan for you beyond the 6 weeks.
Now if I told you I'm thinking about how to get you results by thinking about 1 year down the road, you'll probably not be interested.
But learning how to get, and keep results, will probably take a year.
