The New Shiny Thing

The New Shiny Thing

The new thing is exciting. The new iPhone, that new Netflix show, the latest Instagram post.

All of them generate interest. And then, it's as if they're gone.

But they're not gone - they've just been replaced by the new new thing by grabbing our attention.

And since our attention is on the new thing, then we assume it must be better.

But this is where we can get in trouble, because it's just the newness of it all that interests us. A newness we know will go away.

Interestingly, when it comes to your health and fitness, there are also new things always popping up.

Training styles, programs, diets, detoxes.

You'll want to try them because they're new.

But unlike something like technology, the old things worked really really well.

There's nothing wrong with trying out new things, as long as you're willing to not get the results you want to go with them.

Until next time,

Marco
