What Are You Waiting For?

No One Is Keeping You From Getting Healthy


I remember friends asking me years ago to come to the gym with them.

I hated the idea.

The whole gym scene seemed like a bit of a wank to me, and I didn't want to become involved.

A few years later when I finally realised I was suffering from depression, the gym seemed like a great idea.

14 years later, and my love affair with the gym continues.

But it was only right for me at that particular moment, not before.

And it was right for me for my particular goals, not anyone else's.

And the same is true for you too.

My thought is that everyone should train, or at least do some regular physical activity.

It's just that good for your mental and physical health.

But doing what I do?

Well, it might not be right for you in this particular moment.

And my goals might not be yours.

But it's also important to remember, that no one is keeping you from getting healthy.

It's not like there is some qualification you need to join the club.

There's no gatekeeper.

No one checking your age, ethnicity, height, hair colour, languages spoken at home or how much you earn.

None of that.

You absolutely have the ability to get healthy, if you choose to.

And you can choose to today.

The day of the week, the month of the year, the year itself, still has no affect on your choosing and acting to get healthy.

When you realise that where is are in your health is your fault, then you can take control and change it for the better.
