What Does "After" Look Like?
Have a Clear Image of Who You Want to Become
A very common trend in the fitness industry is to show progress photos, or "before and afters".
It's a great way for trainers to show how they've helped clients.
And a great way for people to show off their hard work!
More than anything though, it makes for a great mental exercise.
What does "after" look like for you?
Is it a six pack?
Is it simply happier and healthier?
Is it some amount stronger or fitter?
It's a good idea to understand what after looks like to know if we've reached it.
It's also helps to understand if we're going off track.
How do you want to feel?
How do you want to look?
What type of person will you be?
The more we imagine these things, the more likely we are to reach them.
It's easy to say "lose 10 kilograms", but often these are just numbers.
We could really throw out any number, with out considering the implication.
They don't capture the feeling of who we become.
A better idea is to understand how you want to feel, and work backwards to find out what will help you get there.
