You Are an Art Project
Why You Can Inspire Change In Other People
You are an art project.
Art projects are difficult.
There are no exact specifications.
There are rules, but they need to be understood to be pushed.
There are constraints, many of which are our choosing.
Art changes other people, one way or another.
Art is worth making because of this.
Art requires consistency.
People think that art is special because of how rare it is.
As if it's a god given talent.
But in fact, many of the classical artists were shit in the beginning, like we all are at anything.
They became famous because they kept practicing, with consistency.
You require that same consistency.
Art can be scary because it requires you to put it out there.
If no on sees the art, it's not art, it's a hobby.
And so you too need to put yourself out there.
This requires courage.
A dance with possible failure and hopeful triumph.
If someone doesn't appreciate the art, this might mean you need to improve your art.
But it might also mean it's not for them.
And if someone doesn't believe in and support your art, then forget about them.
Shun the non believers.
And so yes, you too are an art project.
So go make art.
